May 27th, 2011 admin No comments

Hi all :) . For this post, I decided to share my list of my top 5 sinus infection remedies. As you all know, I have dealt with sinus infections for many years. It is something that I am (sadly) very familiar with. Over the years though, I have tried many different remedies. Some of them have worked, other’s have not. So with that, here is my list of my top 5 sinus infection remedies.

5. Pain Medications

Pain medications can be a great way to ease the pain with sinus infections. While it won’t completely get rid of sinus infections, making the pain more manageable is very important.

4. Frequent Showers

Taking frequent showers is a GREAT way of clearing your nasal passages and clearing your throat. The steam can really help with clearing you out. In addition, the nice warm showers are also a great way to relax. I highly recommend this!

3. Plenty Of Rest

I know this is so cliche, but plenty of rest can do wonders with helping you feel better. Just make sure to prop your pillows up, as this will allow your nose to drain easier. Avoid laying flat!

2. Nasal Medications

Nasal medications are one of the best ways to go about getting rid of a sinus infection. Taking basic over the counter medicine for your nose, throat, etc., can do wonders with getting rid of your sinus infection. That is if your sinus infection is a virus infection. If it is another type of sinus infection, then you may need prescribed medications.

1. Kill Sinus Guide

Finally, my top sinus infection remedy is the Kill Sinus Guide. I actually heard about this through a forum about 6 weeks ago. A lot of people had said positive things about it, so I decided to go ahead and try this guide out. I am really glad I did, as I have had more success with the Kill Sinus Guide, then any other remedy that I’ve tried. If you find yourself not having much luck with the other remedies that I listed, then give Kill Sinus a try!

I hope this list of my top 5 sinus infection remedies has helped all of my readers. Hopefully you will be on your way now to getting rid of your sinus infection. Good luck!

Sinus Infection Remedies – Top 5 Causes Of A Sinus Infection

May 27th, 2011 admin No comments

For this post, I decided to talk a bit about sinus infections and the top 5 causes of a sinus infection. Sinus infections are fairly common, and many people wonder how to go about getting rid of them. However, the best defense against a sinus infection is to know the causes so you can prevent them from happening in the first place. In many ways of all of the sinus infection remedies, this is the best =).  With that, here is my top 5 causes of a sinus infection.

1. A Viral Infection

Have you had a viral infection recently? This can be a cause of a sinus infection. Viral infections can inflame your sinus lining. This halts your body from completely removing bacteria that gets into your nasal packages. If the bacteria isn’t removed, it starts to multiply, and you now have a sinus infection! Getting rid of your viral infections as soon as possible is important in preventing a sinus infection.

2. Allergies

Another major cause of a sinus infection can be allergies. This goes back to the viral infections. Allergies cause you nasal passages to become inflamed, which leads to a buildup in bacteria. If you aren’t taking any medicine for your allergies, consider doing so!

3. Swimming

This is surprising to some people, but a large amount of time spent in swimming pools can lead to sinus infections. This is because there is chlorine in pools, and chlorine can irritate your In fact, a search on the web finds many swimmers who have dealt with frequent sinus infections.

4. Frequent Flying

Are you a frequent flyer? Flying can really mess up your head. The air pressure changes with takeoffs and landings. This can lead to increased pressure build up in your head which can block your sinuses. I actually had this happen to me just last year. Needless to say, I’m not excited to get on another flight.

5. Smoking

If you are a smoker, you may also be more at risk for sinus infections. This is because the smoke can irritate your sinuses. In addition, smoke can clog your nasal passages, which certainly doesn’t help things.

I hope you found this list helpful. Like I said before, knowing the causes of a sinus infection is a great way to fight them. Now that you know the causes of them, you can be well on your way to preventing them. Good luck!

Top 5 Symptoms Of A Sinus Infection

May 27th, 2011 admin No comments

Hi all! For this post, I decided to talk about the top 5 symptoms of a sinus infection. I have been dealing with Sinus Infections for many years. It is something that I have (sadly) become very knowledgeable about. Hopefully though other people will find the knowledge that I’ve learned useful. Anyway, here is a list of the top 5 symptoms of a sinus infection. I hope this will make it a bit more clear to you if you suffer from a sinus infection or not. Now, let’s get to the list!

1. A Bad Cough

Have you been coughing more then usual lately? Is it a violent cough? This can definitely be a sign of a sinus infection. However, continue reading on, to determine if the other symptoms also fit what you may be experiencing.

2. Soar Throat

What about your throat? Do you have a soar throat? While this can just be the common cold, it can also be a symptom of a sinus infection.

3. Nasal Drainage

This is another fairly common symptom of a sinus infection. If you are experiencing nasal drainage, specifically a discolored nasal drainage, then you may have a sinus infection.

4. Headaches

What about headaches? Is your head hurting? This can be a good way to figure out if you just have the common cold, or a sinus infection. Headaches usually aren’t associated that often with the common cold, so if you find yourself experencing frequent headaches with the other symptoms, then this just may be a sinus infection.

5. Fever

Another common symptom of a sinus infection is a fever. Anything above 99F is generally considered a fever, so make sure to check your temperature!

One thing I should note about these symptoms is that for it to be a sinus infection, the symptoms usually will have had to last at least 7 days. So if you’ve only had these symptoms for a day or two, don’t jump to conclusions just yet.

I hope you found this list helpful. Once you know the symptoms of a sinus infection and if you have one, you can begin to start fighting it and searching for the best sinus infection remedies. Good luck!
